A Tynwald select committee investigating the implementation of a 2021 whistleblowing resolution says it needs more time.

Chair Julie Edge told Tynwald that while extensive work has been carried out, further evidence sessions are still required.

The committee was originally tasked with laying its report by March 2026, for debate by May 2026.

Ms Edge, on behalf of the committee, offered her apologies to the court for missing its deadline.

However, Ms Edge confirmed that the probe has already received extensive written evidence and has held four public oral evidence hearings.

She said the committee is now aiming for its report to be finished in May ahead of a debate in July.
